Team Teach Positive Behaviour Training

Here at High Well we have chosen the Team Teach Positive Behaviour training and is accredited through The Institute of Crisis Management - ICM

Staff are trained in the Level 2 programme which includes a holistic tool kit of strategies or 95% with the emphasis firmly on de-escalation as well as verbal and no verbal cues for supporting distressed and disruptive behaviours.

The 5% is physical intervention these strategies may be required to support a pupil on an individual’s risk assessed need basis.

Once staff have attended the initial Level 2 training, a re-accreditation course will be completed as a follow up each year as well as updates in staff meetings.

We have two Team Teach trainers in school, one at Advanced Trainer level and the other at Intermediate trainer level, they reaccredit every year also.
