About Us
Here at High Well School our core purpose is to develop our pupil’s academic, social and emotional skills, so that each pupil leaves our setting ready and equipped for further education, employment or training and knows how to keep themselves safe as well as being able to contribute to society. Pupils are encouraged to build their knowledge and skills around resilience which will help strengthen their character, helping them move forward to further shape their future.
Pupils at High Well School are offered a wide variety of opportunities that are specific to their needs and interests, with the support and commitment from our fantastic staff team who strive for excellent outcomes for our pupils.
At High Well School we aim for all students to be:
Consistent:
We would like for pupils to come to school every day and be ready to learn, to treat each member of the school community with respect, to understand that staff will follow the school expectations and apply consequences consistently and fairly. To know that the expectations are the same in every classroom.
Responsible:
We ask that pupils take responsibility for their behaviour, choices and consequences, Students are responsible learners such as responding to feedback and show it within their school workbooks, Students are responsible for meeting and recoding targets and to wear the correct uniform every day.
Respectful:
Pupils at High Well School must be respectful of our school community, this includes our buildings, classrooms, corridors, equipment and each other. To respect each individual’s right to learn and to communicate in a respectful way. We ask that we respect one another’s differences and take account for each other’s needs.
Safe:
Every child has the right to feel safe within school, emotionally an physically both in lessons and at social times, We ask that personal belongings are stored in lockers every morning on arrival, students should keep themselves safe online, around school and on offsite activities. Students are made aware of who to speak with when or if they have a problem.
